Welcome to Speech Rambles. This is my personal blog. All of the information and dialog found here is provided as a resource for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) looking for inspiration or activities in order to help develop their own therapy methods. No information or commentary herein should be considered guidance, a recommendation, or replacement for the laws of licensing boards or authorities such as the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA).
All of the opinions you read here, whether they are my own, or those of responders to posts are only opinions and are in no way representative of the opinions or recommendations of my employers or educational institutions which I have attended- past, present, or future- nor of the laws of your local licensing authorities. The content of this website is created and represented to support licensed SLPs. It is not a substitute for an evaluation or treatment plan administered by an SLP, and should not be taken as such under any circumstances. Any parent or caregiver can seek out an evaluation for an ASHA certified SLP by searching the database at the ASHA website. Teachers should partner with the SLP resource for their school or district to support the needs of their students. As SLPs our approaches are as unique as the students we serve. I am offering these materials and resources to help aid in your approaches. But they do not replace your professional judgement or opinion.
They are used at the discretion and risk of the professional using them, and should be used by professionals to augment their own approaches.
